Today, let's double-click on DOGE, audits, and the groundswell of interest in auditing Fort Knox, validating that the US stockpile of gold still exists (which a disproportionate amount of USD monetary supremacy stands upon).

Unfortunately, the uproar around auditing the government is tiresome, trite, and expected.

This is the same government—the very same people—who, for the better part of a decade, paraded and parroted the anti-security human rights violation: “If you’ve done nothing wrong, you’ve got nothing to hide.”

The same organization that wanted to hire tens of thousands of armed IRS agents to audit you and your $600 Venmo payment is losing its mind over being held to the same standard.

Government is a servant to the public will.

Whether or not it feels that way to you or anyone else is a separate—but important—discussion.

Government-as-such has never existed for any other purpose, and unless we decay-mutate into crushing dystopic totalitarianism, it will never exist for any other purpose. 

Any citizen, resident, or taxpayer should be able to, on their any and every whim, audit the financial setup of the servants whose lives they fund.

Fort Knox hasn’t been fully audited since 1974, around the time of the Nixon decree that took the US (and subsequently the world) off the gold standard and created the ability to print money out of thin air, backed by nothing.

4 decades without an audit. The Pentagon has failed every audit it’s ever undergone.

You deserve better.

You deserve—you guessed it—Bitcoin.

Bitcoin, for the 16 years it has run without major failure (99.99% uptime), is audited, in its entirety, from the very moment of conception with the first genesis block, every 10 minutes.

Every 10 minutes, the entirety of the Bitcoin timechain is audited, validated, and it passes. 

EVERY 10 MINUTES. FOR 16 YEARS.

Not by a single party either. Protection against single points of failure is the entire point of Bitcoin. 

At the time of writing, every ten minutes, the Bitcoin timechain is audited by 21,322+ participants (anyone who runs a full node). The total number is greater, these are only publicly visible nodes.

More than twenty-one thousand simultaneous and successful audits, every 10 minutes, for 16 years.

• The Bitcoin network has never been hacked.
• The Bitcoin network has never failed an audit.
• The Bitcoin network has more uptime than any other computer or financial network in history.
• The security of the Bitcoin network is protected by the largest firewall of computational energy on the planet. Orders of magnitude bigger than the energy expenditure of the entire US Navy.

The difference is so staggering that they’re not even playing the same game. 

Nation-state currencies exist by one thing and one thing only: federal decree enforced by coercion. A different way to say this: whenever a population has been free to choose what they use as money, government-issued paper has never—not once—won the competition of natural selection in a free market. The only reason you buy your food and pay your taxes in your nation's currency is because they force you to.

And I assure you, relationships built on a foundation of force are not optimal for individual human flourishing. They are harmful instead of healing.
