Strange Love.

ABOUT.
Strange Love was a renegade boutique coffee chain in Toronto, Canada. Known for award-winning coffee with a twist—a focus throughout the organization on helping people find and cultivate their ‘strange love’. Eventually expanding to 4 locations, including one hybrid coffee shop/tattoo parlour.
I joined the crew to run brand development, initial growth/traffic to the stores, and develop the foundations for community activation & organic content. A short but passionate position, and a fantastic opportunity for experience design and retail architecture.
WORK.
- Developed brand foundations across store design, retail experience, online footprint, and social.
- Ran the early growth hacks, driving traffic to stores, incentivizing returns, and total order value.
- Pioneered the first test of a ‘weekly coffee subscription’ – designed the experience, set up the backend, and implemented the project across the stores.
- Sparring partner for the brand, store, and design teams when introducing new items, projects, and offers.
