Blood & Ink: Strength Through Submission

accessing life force / shi heng yi / discipline of surrender

“…you finally allow the fullness of life to flow through you, this is called submission.”

— Shi Heng Yi, 35th Grandmaster Shaolin Temple Europe

  • You intend to pursue the highest, most realistic version of yourself.
  • You align yourself with the Will of God/Nature/Tao.
  • You get out of the way and let that almighty force animate you.

But the trick here is that personal preference/thought/emotion—no matter how pure or positive in its intention—impedes the flow of Life Force.

Set your intention and submit yourself to its unfolding.

This is the discipline of surrender.

I had a powerful experience with this, setting a fierce intention to do morning yoga practice for 100 days straight in the last Hero100 challenge.

While others commented on the discipline required to do this, no discipline was necessary on my end.

Only surrender.

You wake up, surrender to the practice, and a wellspring of vital energy is available. You get up and do it. No questions, no negotiations, no trade-offs.

The personal Will is powerful. But it pales in comparison to the Life Force that always surrounds you.

Allow the almighty force of nature to animate you. It will carry you to heights you cannot even imagine right now.

Happy flowing,
EB.
