Blood & Ink: Incomplete Idioms?

There are missing second halves to some of our most well-known English idioms…

“Curiosity killed the cat...but satisfaction brought it back.""Great minds think alike...though fools seldom differ.""Jack of all trades, master of none...though oftentimes better than master of one.”"The early bird gets the worm...but the second mouse gets the cheese.""An eye for an eye...makes the whole world go blind."“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery....that mediocrity can pay to greatness."

These are substantially better with the second half!

“Fools seldom differ” is a koan you could get unbelievable mileage out of if you sat with it for a while and looked deeply into the topics and issues that most people agree on…

That’s all I want to share for today—a few juicy idioms from the archives.

I will take a break (& give you one too) from daily posts until post-boxing day.

Happy holidays if you celebrate. I love you. Be well.
