“If you want to compare Bitcoin to something else, compare it to fire, the number zero, the wheel, the printing press, or electricity.”

— [Gigi](https://dergigi.com/?ref=zenmedicine.co), Legendary Bitcoiner

A few reminders for myself on surviving the Bitcoin bull run:

- ***“Stay humble, stack sats.”* — Matt O’Dell.** Quintessential maxim.
- **Do not gamble.** Do not f\*ck around with generational wealth.
- **Bitcoin-only.** Everything else is a distraction at best, gambling casino most often, and an outright scam/ponzi at worst.
- **Focus on the mission.** A decentralized, indestructible, ethical global monetary standard. Price is secondary.
- **It’s either going to 0 or $1M+.** 0 is increasingly unlikely. It’s only $0.1M right now. Play the long game. Think of your future family.
- **Contribute to the ecosystem.** Run a node, contribute hash rate, educate those who ask, and don’t be toxic—but protect the network.
- **Not your keys, not your coins.** If you don’t have a private key, you have an IOU.
- ***“If you don’t know where the yield is coming from, you’re it.”*** Don’t fall for the myth of *something from nothing*.
- **Put in the proof-of-work.** Study. Practice. Train. Do the work.
- **1 year of gain, 3 years of pain.** The moments of greatest ecstasy, when everyone’s parents are asking about it, when it all feels inevitable, it will crash. It always does. Be prepared.
- **Don’t get rekt.** Don’t burn out, don’t lose everything, don’t be Icarus. That’s all it takes. Patience, purpose, conviction, action.

**And—enjoy it!**

It’s taken a long time and a lot of effort to get here. Lots of time was spent in the dark caverns of 15k when everyone left and got bored of it, after plummeting down from \~68k.

$100k was as obvious—and dare I say inevitable—back then as it is the reality now.

Countries, governments, and the biggest financial institutions of *all time* are finally coming in. Billions, if not trillions, of dollars flowing into the only true fixed-supply asset in existence? Hoooo boy. Buckle up.

$1M is as obvious now as it will be when it happens.

Play the *looooooooong* game, and enjoy the ride.
