š“ Vibecheck: ICYMI, I dropped an experimental āradio sessionā last week. Itās long, but you can select the timestamps that sound interesting. Iām preparing to lead our upcoming Apotheosis Retreat in ~2 weeks, excited to get back in the Mayan jungle and do some serious soul work. Switching up the pace this week with something easier, but hopefully no less impactful. With love, EB. š¦

Blood & InkCulture, civilization, and the warrior spirit.By Eric Brown
Thereās a part of me that loves super-nerdy esoteric health optimizations and interventions, though I rarely write about itā¦
Hereās a first attempt. None of these are affiliate links.
Doing everything on this list would cost ~$300, most can be done only one time for significant benefits, and can set you up for decades of great health. Live long and prosper. š

1. Blood & Hormone Test
A deep analysis of your blood can reveal miraculous amounts of beneficial health information.
They are not prohibitively expensive (~$150) and can highlight things that require immediate intervention, myriad ways to improve, and give you confidence in your current level of health. Itās an incredibleāand for most of usādeeply needed practice.
Even once is enough. However, getting your blood checked twice a year is a sound health decision for you and your family. Make sure that you get sex hormones checked as part of the test.
You can use an app like Sequel (or just ChatGPT!) to understand the results and create an action plan for yourself afterward. No worries if the results page looks intimidating. I used Labify (US-based) and itās great.
2. Parasite Cleanse
Itās no conspiracy that you have parasites living in you right now.
There are obvious examples like tapeworms in the gut, but what most of us donāt realize is how much of an impact they have on our psychology, behaviour, and overall health.
If you have a tapeworm, you eat more. You might think that youāre just āhungrierā, but this signal is not coming from you, itās coming from the parasite.
Look at the animal kingdom. Snails infected by parasites go on suicide missions at the exposed ends of plants so the snail is eaten and the parasite finds a new host:
Or just look at this fine specimen that comes out of a praying mantis, quite a common infection in wild mantis:
Every domesticated animal that comes into regular contact with humans (cats, dogs, horses, pigs, sheep, etc.) has a parasite cleansing protocol.
Why donāt humans? But they do! In many countriesāsuch as Russiaāannual parasite cleanses are common practice.
Tangentially, there are many anecdotal reports of individuals who have lost the desire for homosexual/anal sex after completing an aggressive parasite cleanse. Weāll save that rabbit hole for another time!
As part of your blood test, look at your eosinophils levels, as they can indicate an active or ongoing parasite infection. You donāt need to be at deathās door to have a parasite problem. A ton of common issues have their origins in parasites, like chronic skin issues, lethargy, mental fog, inflammation, and more.
Many tinctures, or more aggressive interventions, are readily available online and in stores.
3. Donate Blood
Donating bloodāwhile seen as a virtuous charitable actā has incredible health benefits.
The loss of blood incurred sparks the creation of fresh, new healthy blood cells in the body. Outside of transfusions, this is the most direct path to generating new blood cells at this magnitude.
In an age where 100% of men have microplastics in their balls, where we are bombarded with heavy metals and foreign toxins, harassed into extremely dubious and rushed vaccine requirements, and simply the wear and tear that comes with agingātriggering blood generation at this scaleāblood free from these impuritiesāis a great move.
Donating blood does not have to be a one-time move either. Great for saving someoneās life, great for making your own better.
4. Buy/Transition to Barefoot Shoes
Barefoot shoes (defined as shoes with zero heel raise and a wide tox box) sound relatively innocuous, and super hippie, as a health intervention.
The reason they are on this list is because the ripple effect is enormous.
Your body is one fluid, dynamic, connected system. Chronic damage to your feet from arch support, raised heels, and compressed toes ripple up the kinetic chain into your heels, knees, hip alignment, lower back stability, rounded shoulders, forward head, laboured breathing, muscle imbalances, and postural problems.
All of these knock-on effects are from a poor foundation in your feet. Your feet have a poor foundation because modern footwear is hostile to your natural foot structure.
Transitioning to barefoot shoes can take time, as your body readjusts to the movement patterns and builds the strength required to support your body weight, but it is worth it.
Slowly but surely, this adaptive process ripples up the kinetic chain and helps you unlock better posture, better breathing, better looks, and a stronger, more mobile body. Not bad for just switching the shoes you wear. I wear Vivo religiously.
5. 30-Day Sugar Detox
Good news! This one you can do completely for free.
Stop consuming sugar and sugary foods for at least one month.
Itās not for a diet or weight-loss protocol. Itās to reset your tastebuds and break your bodyās addiction to sugar.
After detoxing from processed sugar and similar foods for this amount of time (the longer the better), you will come back repulsed by how most food tastes.
In other words, you lose the desire for sugary foods.
This is a fundamental change that benefits the next several decades. Most sugary foods are also heavily processed, contain unbelievably toxic chemicals, and have a zero/poor nutritional profile.
The key to breaking this addiction is to reset your tastebuds, and your body will take care of the rest.
6. Make a Commitment to Avoid Seed Oils Completely
The widespread production and consumption of seed oils will go down as one of the greatest abominations of this time in human history.
Seed oils are poison. They are not fit for human consumption. Do not listen to what anyone says. Pay no respect to āheart healthyā labels on tubs of margarine.
Go through your pantry now. Throw away anything that has canola oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, grapeseed oil, rice bran oil, safflower oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil, flaxseed oil, or vegetable oil.
Most people who experience health benefits from a diet (usually from adopting more whole foods), experience these because they are drastically reducing their consumption of seed oils.
They are in EVERYTHING. They are toxic. Do not consume them.
Do you need to be the person at every restaurant sending back food depending on what oil they cook it in? Probably not. But at least in your home, do not even own them. Get rid of them. Commit to never use them again.
Your ancestors will thank you.
To your health,
