tim ferriss' sage wisdom / aligning with natural law
Blood & Ink: Tuesday

No Hurry, No Pause.

The story goes that Tim Ferriss used to write this on the top of his notebooks, as reminders to himself.

Expanding on this in an interview, he adds “Luxury, to me, is feeling unrushed.”

To put this into practice today, remember:

Try to do everything 10% slower.

There’s real magic hidden here. Try it for a few days and you’ll intuitively pick up on it.

This is what happens: everything you need to do gets done. It gets done in what you perceive as the same amount of time. You might even get it done faster because you’re more intentional in what you’re doing.

Here’s what doesn’t happen: the anxiety, neuroticism, and frantic urgency that accompanies being in a hurry.

It goes further…

This is how you align yourself with the Flow of Life.

This is the natural pace of existence. Everything happens in its proper time. Life does not hurry to get anywhere. Nor does it stop.

Endless, gentle, river-like motion.

Aligning yourself with the Great River of Being is as simple as this: No Hurry. No Pause.

Do it for long enough and magic happens.

You’ve got this,
EB.
