Re-watching some of JBP’s biblical lectures when he dropped this gem during Q&A at the end of the first lecture…

The question asked why the churches of antiquity were so grand, ornate, and beautiful. I wrote a bit about this in my recent essay on Cathedral Consciousness.

But there’s something further I want to point out…

You, too, have this enlightened consciousness within you. In a very real way, you are this enlightened consciousness.

You can make every aspect of your life beautiful, a dwelling place suitable for the quality of your character.

• Make your body strong and aesthetic.
• Make your words sharp and poetic.
• Make your clothing clear and dignified.
• Make your smile glowing and radiant.
• Make your movements intentional and purposeful.
• Make your home brilliant and inviting.
• Make your thoughts pure and loving.

After all, beauty is the proper dwelling place for an enlightened consciousness. 

You are that.
